AI-generated renderingon the Rio
Day one. Stiff as a saddle.
Smooth cognac calf, not a crease on it. Your heel slips a little. That's right: the leather hasn't learned your foot yet.
Year one. It knows you now.
The first creases settle across the vamp, right where you bend. The cork in the footbed has pressed to the shape of your foot.
Year five. Darker, softer, yours.
Oil and sun take the cognac a shade deeper. A scuff on the toe from a stirrup. The heel has worn in to how you walk.
Year twenty. Second soles, same boot.
Resoled twice on our bench, re-heeled four times. The patina you can't buy. Send them back whenever they need it.
Head to toe, made to work.

Fit it like a bootmaker.
Most people buy cowboy boots a half size under their sneakers. Answer three questions and we'll tell you yours.
About two hundred steps per pair.
Cut by hand
Each vamp and shaft is clicked from the hide by hand, so the best leather goes where your foot bends.
Stitched shafts
The shaft pattern is sewn before anything else: up to ten rows of stitching that keep the leather standing tall.
Hand-lasted
Pulled over our lasts and left to set, so the boot holds its shape after twenty years of wear.
Pegged & welted
Lemonwood pegs in the shank and a Goodyear welt, which is why we can resole them again and again.
